What is ChatWise

ChatWise is a fast, polished desktop AI chat app for macOS and Windows. It supports multiple providers, file and image input, and artifacts — and you can point it at any OpenAI-compatible service. Add TokenMix as a custom provider to chat with the full model catalog.

Before you start

• ChatWise installed from chatwise.app (macOS or Windows)
• A TokenMix API key (sk-tm-...) from the console

Add TokenMix as a provider

1. Open ChatWise and go to Settings → Providers.
2. Click + to add a new provider, and choose the OpenAI-compatible type.
3. Fill in:
   • API Host / Base URL: https://api.tokenmix.ai/v1
   • API Key: your sk-tm- key
4. Click Fetch Models to load the catalog, or add a model ID manually (e.g. deepseek-v4-flash).
5. Save.

Start chatting

Open a new chat, pick a TokenMix model from the model selector, and send a message.

Verify

If the model replies, you are connected. Track usage in your TokenMix console.

Common questions

Does the Base URL need /v1? Yes — use https://api.tokenmix.ai/v1.

Models won't fetch automatically? Add them by ID manually — for example claude-sonnet-4.6 or gpt-5.5. You can see all IDs at /v1/models.
